Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Potluck collects, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We aim to keep this honest and concise.

Data controller

Data we collect

  • Your email address (used to sign you in and send transactional email).
  • Your display name (credits the photos you contribute).
  • Your chosen avatar.
  • Photos you upload, including their embedded EXIF metadata — which can contain the capture time and, if present, the capture location.
  • Basic technical logs, including your IP address, for security and reliability.

Retention & auto-deletion

Potluck albums are designed to be ephemeral. Each album, together with its photos, is automatically deleted 30 days after the last upload to that album. This is both a product feature and our retention policy: we do not keep album content indefinitely. Account-level data (email, display name, avatar) is retained while your account is active.

Subprocessors

We rely on the following processors to run Potluck:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage. Hosted in the EU region (eu-west-1).
  • Resend — sending transactional email (such as your sign-in codes).
  • Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@justpanc.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Account & data deletion

You can delete your account and its personal data yourself, at any time, from Settings → Delete account in the app. This removes your profile, your album memberships, the photos you uploaded (originals and previews), and any albums you own. You can also email us at contact@justpanc.com and we will do it for you. Album content is in any case auto-deleted 30 days after the last upload (see above).
